The Venn diagram of internet nerds and horse nerds is darn near a circle, and this product line is a celebration of the funniest, most iconic internet lore as translated into model horse art in collections of large models, pebbles, and chips by The Nerdiest Nerd – Melanie Miller! 52 Free Thoroughbreds? They’re not free, but we got ‘em. LEEROY JENKINS? We got him too (he lived!). This is fine!

The beauty of this line is that since they’re all by Mel, you don’t need to know anything about what she’s referencing to enjoy her beautiful artwork! The meme references just add a little something extra. So come with us to Candy Mountain and see what Mel has dreamed up, starting in January with the re-introduction of a sculpture you haven’t seen in decades.

January: 52 Free* Thoroughbreds

Terminally Online is a collection of horses inspired by memes that have stood the test of time - memes that have ascended and become legend. Immortalized in model horse form by Melanie Miller, whose meme knowledge is just as multidimensional as her extreme artistic skill.

For our first collection, Mel brings to life the classic 52 Free Thoroughbreds meme. Here at Stone Horses we’re proud to do our part in never ever letting that meme fade into history! Incidentally, one of the original 52 actually went on to become an eventer, and Mel has translated that success story onto our Jumping Sport Horse mold – with some new twists! She sports a new shortened mane and forelock, expressive flying tail, acrylic rod, and an all new acrylic water base designed by Mel! This phase of a jump landing is a lovely representation of a horse jumping into water, so of course that’s what we’re depicting. Mel painted her to a gorgeous light dappled grey with dramatic shading in her legs, mane, and tail, nicely contrasting against the shimmering blue in her base. She is a run of only five pieces available in all finish options.

Mel also created a stunning collection of ten One of a Kind Thoroughbred Chips with some of the most attractive customizing we’ve seen on him! He has a sweetly turned and tucked head and neck, along with a whole new gently swishing tail with extra added tendril detailing. Each of the ten represents a real and correct color or pattern that Thoroughbreds come in, including dappled bay with gulastra plume, dapple black, dominant white, black frame pinto, chestnut rabicano, dappled grey with chubari spots, dapple buckskin, palomino with bend or spots, bay with birdcatcher spots, and chestnut sabino.

These will be shipped blind bag style with no finish options available. There are no purchase limits for our Terminally Online series.
